The smartphone market in China has a new leader: Xiaomi. Apple is no longer the largest smartphone vendor in China, according to Canalys. Quarterly estimates for March-June 2015 put Xiaomi at the top of the market with a 15.9% share. Huawei comes in second with a 15.7% share.

Huawei and Xiaomi are Chinese companies. Apple had been the top smartphone company in the market during the past two quarters, but it has fallen to third. Samsung and Vivo fell to spots four and five.

Canalys didn't provide Apple's exact market share in its report.

A similar analysis of the market has come from Counterpoint Research. That analysis puts Xiaomi at 15.8%, Huawei at 15.4%, and Apple at 12.2%.
