HP says business separation not affecting ordering system

Hewlett-Packard (HP) has recently finished the separation of HP and HP Enterprise, and orders received from August 1-6 are scheduled to ship on August 7. Although many channel retailers and upstream suppliers still have concerns about possible confusion over related orders, HP has maintained that its partners can just place orders as they used to do and the company will assign them to the relevant divisions.

HP notified its partners 2-3 months ago that the company's operation would officially separate into two in August, but their contact windows and ordering system would remain the same.

So far, HP has not seen a major change in its order volume from channel retailers in the second half, but the company's shipments in the second half are still expected to see growth from the first despite the fact that the scale may not be large.

Since notebook shipments may drop up to a double-digit percentage on year in 2015 and notebook ASPs have been dropping rapidly, brand vendors are seeing almost no profits from consumer notebook product lines.
